Asaf joined Stifel in 2021 after serving more than 20 years with Merrill Lynch. Over the past two decades, he has worked on wealth management strategies that serve as a compass for high-net-worth families to help them pursue their financial goals while also organizing their personal financial lives. He has also earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation, which covers issues surrounding a client’s financial needs before and after retirement, including sources of retirement income, personal savings, taxes, estate planning, and more.
Asaf supports several charitable organizations, including Heroes on the Water, which helps wounded veterans relax, rehabilitate, and reintegrate through alternative therapeutic programs. He also supports several other charities and schools in Houston and Israel.
Asaf is a veteran of the Israeli Defense Force, where he served for three years. After his service, he settled in Houston with his wife, Adrienne. He and his wife are currently raising three children: two boys and a girl. He coached his two sons’ little league baseball teams and is now learning the intricacies of raising a little girl. Outside the office, he enjoys cheering on Houston sports teams, especially the Astros and Texans. He also loves hiking and traveling when time allows.

Max has been assisting individuals with their strategic goals for more than a decade. He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology and earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM, and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designations. He believes he has the knowledge and tools necessary to help clients articulate and navigate their highest aspirations for themselves, their family, and society.
Max employs a goals-based process that is designed to address the principles of long-term wealth accumulation, preservation, and transfer: Discovery, Control, Outcome, and Risks (DCOR). In the Discovery phase, he helps clients gather necessary information to enable them to determine their current financial state, financial blind spots, and if their finances are aligned with their life priorities. During the Control phase, clients discuss the elements of a financial strategy and how it can be influenced by client decisions and emotions.
Next, Max will help define the desired Outcome for each client based on individual goals, and finally, delineate the Risks for the client, including personal risk versus market risks. Max is committed to organizing his clients’ financial lives and ensuring they align their finances to their life priorities.
Max is a proud U.S. Patent Holder of the Cascaded Steam Temperature Control Applied to a Universal Pressure Boiler – patent number: 5,279,263. Outside the office, he enjoys reading, watching movies, traveling, and is a wine enthusiast (current holder of the WSET Level 2 award, a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification exploring wines).
Liz began her financial services career in 2019 and joined Stifel in 2023. She is excited to serve the team’s clients and continue growing her understanding of the business.
Liz enjoys being a main point of contact for clients as they journey through their investment experience with Stifel. She focuses on listening and understanding client needs, providing prompt service, and organizing administrative details. Liz enjoys working alongside the financial advisors, as well as the teamwork aspect of work.
After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, she began her career at Accenture, working as a consultant in the business process group. She worked on large system implementations for oil and gas companies just prior to Y2K. She moved to New England to study general management in the MBA program at Dartmouth in New Hampshire.
Following business school, Liz’s interests shifted to Christian ministry, and she enjoyed 18 years of serving people at various ministries, such as Second Baptist Church, Grace Bible Church, Trinity Classical School, as well as attending seminary at Southern in Louisville, Kentucky. Liz found herself re-entering the business world and discovered an affinity for the wealth management industry.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with people, tennis, reading, hiking, and serving in her church.
